COMMUNITY PARK AND PLAYGROUND UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT ASTURIA
(TAMPA, FL) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today that construction has commenced on the first in a series of community parks and its unique playground in Asturia, the firm’s new signature mixed-use development in Tampa, FL. The initial playground will feature the newest technology in child-focused play equipment, provided by KOMPAN, and the parks will include open green space, a pavilion, multi-use paths and a pedestrian bridge over the central community lake.
Hines Managing Director Lane Gardner commented, “We are pleased to have KOMPAN equipment in the playgrounds in Asturia. They have been enriching children’s play for more than 40 years, and their equipment promotes children’s health, motor skills and social interaction, which is a benefit to the community – and all residents at Asturia.”
“The Supernova, Spinner Bowl and Explorer Dome playground equipment are dynamic play pieces designed to challenge children’s motor skills, train their balance, and stretch their bodies in movement adventures. The playground is designed to bring kids together in active social play benefitting both their physical and mental health,” says Helle Burlingame, psychologist and manager of the KOMPAN Play Institute.
The playground is just one of many popular amenities in this family-friendly, master-planned signature community. Asturia residents will have a wealth of daily activities from which to choose, and an impressive community amenity center with a luxurious swimming pool and fitness center, as well as the parks, abundant green spaces, a trail network and picnic areas.
The signature community is prominently located on State Road 54 with great access to the Suncoast Parkway. The 500-acre development will offer retail, commercial, office and multifamily parcels with a variety of traditional neighborhood and conventional single-family residential offerings. Ashton Woods and David Weekley Homes are the community’s homebuilders and have commenced construction with each builder providing a staffed model home to offer prospective homebuyers a range of home sizes and architectural styles to guide their home selection and design process. Model homes are expected to be complete in November 2015. To learn more about the community of Asturia, visit www.AsturiaFlorida.com or call (813) 227-4148.
